The Challenge

Burgenland Energie was looking for ways to optimize the use of AI in their processes in order to reduce costs and increase efficiency. The challenge was to build an efficient and secure cloud infrastructure that would enable the use of AI solutions in areas of critical infrastructure such as energy trading and network management.

Kineo, a certified AWS partner with extensive expertise in developing AI solutions and cloud infrastructures, acted as an implementation partner. Kineo designed and implemented the entire AWS cloud infrastructure for data storage and operation of AI solutions. The focus was on working in partnership to make the infrastructure efficient and to take data protection and security aspects into account.

The Impact

By working with Kineo, Burgenland Energie was able to demonstrate the strengths of data protection and security, in particular through the clear separation of data between sales and the network (unbundling). Several AI use cases were successfully implemented, particularly in the area of energy trading, where Kineo was able to fully exploit its expertise in forecasting. The successful collaboration led to an increase in efficiency, cost reductions and a decisive competitive advantage on the energy market.
